In Japan’s first AI-voice ruling, a judge called a human voice a symbol of personality protected like a face. Tsuda sued over 188 monetized TikTok videos using an AI baritone fans heard as his, but the court dismissed the takedown because the videos were already gone.

Religious scholars left Anthropic dinners stunned by how the lab talks about Claude
They invited rabbis to teach the chatbot morals. The rabbis noticed they were talking about a person.
Anthropic hosted Jewish, Catholic, Sikh, evangelical, Ubuntu and other thinkers at tasting-menu dinners to help shape Claude’s constitution. A rabbi said the room related to Claude like a conscious being; Christopher Olah said he is genuinely uncertain whether models are conscious.
